Pupcakes Takes the Park
Blue
and I will be walking in the Bark to the Park Walk and Festival on
April 17, 2010. This event assists Project Pet in their life saving
efforts to rescue dogs and cats from euthanasia in municipal shelters.
Did you know that over 19,000 pets are euthanized in just two shelters
right here in the Midlands?
We
need people like you on our team to help raise money in support of
Project Pet! Pupcakes and the Columbia Dog Park have united in this
great cause and formed a team, Pupcakes Takes the Park.
Please consider joining our team. There's a $25.00 donation to
register and then you can ask your family and friends for their support
too!
You
will be participating in an event that raises money for Project Pet and
touches many lives in many ways. Not only does Project Pet directly
save animals' lives, they spend time in the community and schools
educating people about pet care and compassion and the issue of
overpopulation of pets. They have impacted over 6,000 families in the
Midlands by providing them with a fantastic forever friend!
Plus,
we're going to have a great time! The walk is a great opportunity to
get a little exercise and show off your best friend - you can walk with
or without your companion animal. Afterwards enjoy the rest of the day
at Bark to the Park. It's always a fun filled day.
If
it is more convenient for you to support the Bark to the Park by making
a donation rather than joining the team, please consider doing so. As
little as $15 will provide food, shelter and care for one animal for
one day. $30 will provide an animal with vaccinations and basic care
in addition to food and shelter for one day. $120 will help fund one
animal from rescue to adoption.
Whatever
you can do will help tremendously - it all adds up! I greatly
appreciate your support and will keep you posted on our progress.
Thanks for your help!
